Mission Statement

Guardian Angel is a Christ-centered community of students, parents, and staff.

The primary purpose of the school is to facilitate the student’s full development: spiritual, moral, psychological, social, intellectual, aesthetic, and physical. While the staff recognizes that parents have the primary responsibility for their children’s Christian formation, the school, also, plays an essential role in the child’s growth.

By its commitment to Christ in His Church, this community affirms that the Sacraments, especially the Eucharist, are the life of our lives, and empower us to live the Lord’s command to love one another as He loved us.  This Christian love proclaims that each person is infinitely valuable, lovable, and unique, and calls forth the growth of each individual.

The goal of the learning process is not merely the acquisition of facts, nor simply a mastery of the basic skills necessary for learning, but the development of an ever-growing thirst for new and deeper knowledge.

By its commitment to Christian values and to the principles of American democracy, Guardian Angel affirms that it is dedicated to fostering the freedom of each person, both inner freedom and its practical expression in responsible service to society.  The staff aims to promote change and growth, especially in attitudes and values, confident that the student, in his journey towards adulthood, will in turn become an agent of change, capable and ready to demonstrate in daily life the challenging ideals of Catholicism and American democracy.
